Internet Telephony

What is IP TELEPHONE (OR known also as IP TELEPHONY)

It combines the advantages of traditional telephone service and Internet technology to provide new functionality and competitive price.

This service is the same as the telephone service, with the difference that, voice is digitized and transmitted via Internet to the desired location, and there again converted into voice. Low prices offered are conscience of the lower cost of transferring voice over the Internet.

Voice over IP or the so called IP telephony is a modern phone calls tool unlimited by time and distance at much lower prices. This is made possible by new technology that brings your voice over the Internet, to any part of the world.

Prices are not formed based on the remoteness of the desired location, but according to the state of the Internet network there, which is a prerequisite for their future cost reduction.

Compared with mobile phones, IP phones offer more functionality:
  1. Mobility – you can move your phone terminal to virtually every part of the world where there is Internet.
  2. Multidirectional conversation – unlike old phones, IP phones are smart devices with its own processor and memory, and most of them can open several independent connections to IP Telephony Server, which enables conference calls with more than two people, and receiving / transferring several on-hold calls.
  3. Transferring an ongoing call to another number.
  4. Assignment of multiple phone numbers to one phone – your phone could answer both 02 *** **** and the 052 *** ***
  5. Joining several independent, geographically remote phones to a phone number.
  6. Voice to email – opportunity to receive voice messages on your email account.
  7. Videoconferencing – it is enough to replace your IP phone with video-phone.
  8. Communications confidentiality.
  9. Free local calls – in the context of IP telephony “local” means any conversation that takes place within the servicing telecommunications operator and does not leave the Internet.
  10. Web-based interface for tracking incoming, outgoing and missed calls with accuracy to the second.
  11. Internet and telephone in the same cable.
  12. There is no need for additional wiring. It can operate in a wireless environment.

And more...
-As we know the conversations between subscribers of a PBX are free (e.g. conversations between co-workers in an office). In standard PBX to make this possible, it is necessary for telephone cord to exist physically from the PBX to each device. In other words – the standard PBX use telephone lines as a medium for voice transmission. Software PBXs use local or global network as a medium for voice transmission. Hence their main advantage – subscribers of such a PBX are not limited by distance – they may be located in any point of the world where there is Internet.
-If you have to move your office and you have IP PBX, you will be able to keep your known telephone numbers, without a request and having to wait for “technical availability”. In most cases it will not even require PBX reprogramming. This is true even if you move to another city.
-The software PBX capacity is virtually unlimited – adding new account is made by PBX programming. No need for any hardware. (In conventional PBXs to increase the number of accounts you needed to add boards and often it turns out that the maximum capacity is reached and the PBX can no longer expand, and must be replaced).
